Personally I think its cool technology, but at the same time its a flat out ripoff to people who already own the viper alarm. According to vipers site even if you have an existing viper alarm the msrp on the module is $299!! Granted I know it probably will not be that much, but when I paid $450 for the alarm/install that is just down right absurd. There also is a $30 yearly service fee for the wireless signal!!!

its a tmobile slider phone. the way its setup is if he calls a certain number the car turns on. dial another number to unlock/lock. if anyone wants a setup like that without an iphone let me know and i can point you in the right direction

You still can't steal the car, it works just like a normal remote start. No Key = No Driving

Is this reliable enough to purposely lock your keys in the car everytime? If so, I think I may get it.

Yes. Unless you leave your lights on and your battery dies... Just always keep your phone and car charged and roll!

my car doesnt have power locks or an immobilizer or anything like that, is there an option to get just the starter?

Sure there is. You won't get the benefits of the lock/unlock but the remote start part will still work

Yes, unfortunately it uses the same brain so the cost is the same. You're basically just not using it to it's full capability...

We can add door lock actuators to your car if you'd like so that you can use the lock/unlock feature. $75/ door for parts and labor.
